What we move
A few rooms rather than a full house, mostly — furniture, boxes, the things that turn a house into yours. Because it’s a part-load, you send what matters to you and share the run for the rest.
The route
Out of London it’s the M20 or M2 down to Dover or the Eurotunnel at Folkestone, across the Channel, then the long drive south — the A10 down through France past Bordeaux, over the Spanish border and diagonally across Spain on the A-62 by way of Salamanca. From there the load drops into Portugal: the A25 for Porto and the north, or the A1 and A2 down to Lisbon and on to the Algarve. It’s a proper haul to the far south-west corner, so where it fits we’ll take the Santander or Bilbao ferry to shorten the road. We plan the crossing, the drive and any tight final lanes before we set off.
Customs and paperwork

How does a part-load from London to Portugal work?
Your things share the van with other moves heading the same way, so you only pay for the space you use. We collect from your London address and drive the long corridor south — down through France and diagonally across Spain to the Portuguese border — then on to your door. It’s one team from your London flat all the way to the far end.
Which way do you drive, and can you use the ferry?
The straight run leaves London on the M20 or M2 to a Channel crossing, heads down France past Bordeaux, crosses the Spanish border and cuts across Spain through Salamanca, then drops into Portugal. It’s a genuinely long haul — Portugal sits in the far corner. Where it makes sense we can take the Santander or Bilbao ferry from the UK instead, which trims a big slice off the driving.
Do you cover all of Portugal?
Yes — the whole country. The Algarve in the south-west, Faro, Lagos, Tavira and Lagoa; Lisbon and the Silver Coast around Cascais and Sintra; Porto and the north; and central spots like Óbidos and Caldas. Cobbled hill villages and rural quintas can have tight access, so we work that out with you before we load.
